What’s up? I'm Jessi

I truly do want the moon for you and for all of us!

I’m a lover of love, people, art, music, community, animals, the moon.

I’ve got no time or energy for hate and I ALWAYS stand on the side of the oppressed.

Therefore my goals are:

-Collective Liberation

-Using objects over and over and reimagining their different uses

-Cheerleading for those who have a dream but don’t feel/see their potential

-Sharing joy and love to balance out harm

-Pointing out the beauty in whatever is being ignored

-Sharing resources

-Remembering and Celebrating our individual paths and gifts.

If you’re down for all or some of this, scroll down to learn how we can possibly work or gather together.

When people meet me, they are usually surprised to know a few things:

I’m a Bookkeeper who also is an artist who also works in advocacy.

So it’s hard to say what my “job” is.

I’ll let you pick what speaks to you and message me accordingly.

I am also grateful to be a partner at Suzanne Barr Food.

Empowering Women in Business

At Simple Books w/Jessi, I'm dedicated to empowering women in business by simplifying bookkeeping and providing the tools and resources they need to take control of their finances.

Whether you're just starting out or looking to level up your financial game, I'm here to support you every step of the way.

Advocating for Liberation and Equality

As the founder of Red Sky At Nite, a nonprofit organization, I'm committed to dismantling oppressive systems and fostering liberation for all. We challenge white supremacy, amplify marginalized voices, and support indigenous communities worldwide.

Our mission is rooted in the belief that women are catalysts for transformative change, and through advocacy, education, and resource allocation, we empower women to realize their dreams of community liberation.

Celebrating Food, Culture, and Connection

I'm also a partner at Suzanne Barr Food, where we celebrate the rich tapestry of food, culture, and community connections. We advocate for recipe, spice, and culture preservation, decolonize food practices, and lift up indigenous cultures.

Through in-person and online events, teaching, and advocacy, we use food as a connector to create safe, inclusive spaces where all voices are heard and celebrated.

I've been fortunate to work with amazing clients, creating work I'm truly proud of.

Artists fighting for Collective Liberation

Love has never been a popular movement and no one's ever wanted really to be free. The world is held together, really it is, held together, by the love and the passion of a very few people.”

James Baldwin

The Creators above show love in their own ways.

And I believe that THEY, ME and my FAMILY, my COMMUNITY and hopefully YOU, are working towards making LOVE a popular movement by sharing kindness and unconditional love in all the ways.

In this way, we can all work towards Collective Liberation and fighting against climate change. It’s all connected just as we are.
